George Matthis, Co-Founder and President/CEO of the National Society of Paranormal Investigation and Research has been fascinated since an early age by all things supernatural and paranormal. As a child in the 1950’s and 60’s, George vividly remembers watching the skies for signs of alien spacecraft and later in the 70’s while in high school researched and wrote a term paper on unidentified flying objects. However, possibly the most compelling facet of his addiction to this branch of science is the investigation and research of the paranormal. George first participated in a paranormal investigation in 1997 with a group led by Dr. Larry Montz of the Society for Paranormal Research. As a university trained scientist, he continues to put his skills to use to investigate things that go bump in the night. He holds a full membership with the Rhine Research Center, an associate membership with the Parapsychological Association (the only professional parapsychological association affiliated with the American Association for the Advancement of Science) and is also a member of the Association TransCommunication.
